Breonna's Roots' garden and Injustice Square memorials

Breonna's Roots' garden and Injustice Square memorials (Beargrass Thunder vlog)

The Beargrass Thunder crew visited Injustice Square in downtown Louisville to check out the wonderful work Breonna's Roots has done in the garden, and to observe the magnificent memorials that are carefully maintained to honor Breonna Taylor, Tyler Gerth, and David 'YaYa' McAtee.

We also talk about the importance of urban agriculture and how we can change laws and ordinances in our city that prevent people from growing their own food, which is especially important for those who lack access to food or transportation.

A special thanks to Breonna's Roots and WRATH for helping to maintain the garden and harvest the food which is then donated to nonprofits like #FeedTheWest and Change Today, Change Tomorrow. We would also like to give a shoutout for all the wonderful work Shawntrice Martin has done with The Bok Choy Project, helping to bring justice (and healthy food) to traditionally disenfranchised and marginalized communities.
