Seed Giveaway @ Russell A Place Of Promise

On Saturday, April 3rd the Louisville Seedbank Project in association with Louisville Grows and Beargrass Thunder gave away free seeds for Russell community members. The event took place at 1718 W Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville, KY 40203 at the Russell Place of Promise community center from 11:30am-4pm.
The event was featured on 502 Livestreamer Tara Bassett's show, Take It From Tara. Jody, along with Hart Hagan, environmental educator with Wild Ones, talk about the Louisville Seedbank Project and Louisville's restrictive and often discriminative codes and ordinances that prevent residents from growing food and other native plants beneficial to the environment:
