KENTUCKY ALLEY PROJECTS

Beargrass Thunder is all about alleys. It all started with the Kemmons Art Alley Project in Bashford Manor, in which an entire community was brought together and successfully used art and nature to completely transform a dangerous and inaccessible area known for drug use, vandalism, and dumping into a beautiful and welcoming space for people to enjoy. Amazingly, there were no crimes in the alley reported after the project started in 2019 according to the Courier Journal!

 

We are recently finished our work with the Roland Street Alley Project. Funds are being raised for a beautiful mural by OSRS, and a lot of time & effort went into planting crops, with yields that could be donated to the community nonprofits such as Change Today, Change Tomorrow & #FeedTheWest.
